About Me

About Me

I'm a Canadian screenwriter with a passion for baking and cooking. I specialize in both comedy and drama genres, so you find me writing for both types of films. I'm an Evangelical Christian, but that doesn't stop me from pushing the boundaries of my craft.

My work is inspired by the broad scope of history and the negative impact of consumerism, which is why I'm constantly finding new ways to showcase these through my writing.

COMEDIAN CAROL BRUNETT

(quoting her mother)

Comedy is tragedy plus time.

I agree the genres are a double-sided coin. I'm finding my productive rhythm in writing by working on two screenplays simultaneously – one a comedy and one a drama.

But, hey, one thing I am not shy about is learning. Screenwriting started as a pass-time while I waited to publish my gluten-free cookbook but as with all my hobbies it turned into a deep dive, it's now three years later and I am loving every minute of it.

I work full-time in the restaurant industry to fund my passion for writing part-time.
